Registration fees are based on costs associated with the following:
- ✔ Cost of ice rental from the City of Cornwall
- ✔ Cost of "On-ice" and "Off-ice" officials
- ✔ Hockey Canada insurance for all CMHA players and team officials
- ✔ Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO), and HEO Minor District 2 fees for all CMHA players
- ✔ Upper Canada Minor Hockey League (UCMHL) fees for Competitive B Rep team players only
- ✔ Lower St. Lawrence Minor Hockey League (LSLMHL) fees for B House and C House teams only
- ✔ CMHA administrative costs and equipment purchases
When registering and after completing the form for the current season in CMHA, there will be an automatic online registration fee and admin charge of $40 that is not refundable and / or will not be transferred if your child makes AA or AAA.
Payments
REGISTRATION PAYMENTS BY INSTALLMENTS**
When registering online, you will be charged 25% of the registration cost upfront, then the remaining amount will be divided into 3 payments on the following dates :
July 31
Aug 31
Sep 30
** Please note that CMHA players intending to try out for any "Competitive" hockey level (AAA, AA, A) must have all CMHA registration fees paid prior to the first try out session for that level. Also, any player who will be trying out for a AAA/AA/A team and who makes this team, but has registered during the Late registration, WILL NOT have these late fees refunded to them. Please ensure you register before the dates mentioned above.
**Please note that players intending to try out for any “Competitive” hockey level (AAA, AA, A, B Rep) must have all CMHA registration fees paid and completed CMHA forms submitted to CMHA prior to the first try out session. This includes CMHA players trying out for the Eastern Ontario Wild and Seaway Valley Rapids Association's teams.
Financial Assistance
CMHA families receiving financial assistance from programs such as Lace'M'Up, Canadian Tire Jump Start or Kidsport Ontario are to forward their confirmation funding e-mail to the CMHA Registrar to facilitate processing of the player(s) CMHA registration.
For all CMHA players, regardless of the means of payment, the registration process is not complete until all completed CMHA forms are received by CMHA and all payments have been received and deposited by CMHA.
Receipts, Refunds and NSF
NON-SUFFICIENT FUNDS (NSF) CHEQUE POLICY
A $40.00 CMHA administration fee will be charged on all cheques returned as "NSF" or as "Stop payment".
Any CMHA player whose family’s cheque has been returned for either of the two reasons above will be suspended from all CMHA on ice activities until arrangements are made to pay all outstanding fees.
Acceptable means of paying outstanding fees in this situation are by etransfer or cash within 7 days of being notified by CMHA.
CMHA REGISTRATION REFUNDS
All requests to CMHA for refunds must be made in writing on the CMHA Refund Request form (available under the CMHA website’s "Resources" tab then the "CMHA Forms" tab) and addressed to the CMHA Registrar. The refund amount will be pro-rated based on the date of receipt of the completed CMHA Refund Request form as per the CMHA Refund policy.
TAX RECEIPTS
Income tax receipts for registration fees will be e-mailed out in early January each year by Hockey Canada using the e-mail address each family provides when registering for CMHA. Please ensure that you have provided CMHA with your current e-mail address.
